About Madeleine
One element that has always played a role in my life is nature.
Growing up going on hikes, camping and canoeing trips with family and friends in Ontario. Places such as Georgian Bay, Kawartha Lakes, Halliburton Highlands, and on family land in the Gatineau Hills of Quebec. A lot of my influence as a child was from my mother who spent years guiding wilderness canoe trips.
Gratitude to my mother, Monica!
As a teenager attending high school, I found solace in the forest before and after a school day. An undying love for needing to watch the sun set, rise, or both, always drew me outside.
Amongst the trees, plants, animals and mushrooms, teaching myself plant, and fungi identification, which literally led me to a new chapter in my life with The Guelph Outdoor School and onward.

In my free time, you can try to find me foraging for wild plants, tracking wildlife, cooking or baking, biking, creating, or spending time with my amazing son Lou.
A lot of my time is also spent with kids and friends in nature exploring the land, fishing, and watching the sun set.
